Care. Comfort. Compassion.

Guided by these three principles,  your experience of healing, is an experience we create together.

In a modern world saturated with pharmaceutical drugs and assembly line patient care, ancient healing techniques have never been so relevant and so needed.

Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine is a 100% natural, safe, and effective way to respond to the physical and emotional imbalances we all experience in life.  It uses your body's innate healing abilities to restore your natural homeostasis which in Chinese Medicine is the essence of good health.

Simply put, Chinese Medicine considers the wholeness of who you are, working in an integrative way without pharmaceuticals, with no harmful side effects, delivering uncomplicated relief.

I am passionate about helping people Feel Better, Be Better, and Live Better.  I hope you'll give me the opportunity to be of service to you.

A brief introduction to Acupuncture and the basics of  Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Allen Liu is a licensed acupuncturist and a graduate of Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  He holds previous degrees from the University of Virginia and the University of California at Irvine.

On a personal note, Allen identifies as a Gay cis-gendered male.  Queer visibility is important.  An authentic connection and space for healing occurs when both practitioner and patient allow themselves to be seen.

"Over its 2500 years of development, a wealth of experience has accumulated in the practice of acupuncture, attesting to the wide range of diseases and conditions that can be effectively treated with this approach. Unlike many other traditional methods of treatment, which tend to be specific to their national or cultural context, acupuncture has been used throughout the world, particularly since the 1970s.

The past two decades have seen extensive studies on acupuncture, and great efforts have been made to conduct controlled clinical trials that include the use of “sham” acupuncture or “placebo” acupuncture controls. Although still limited in number because of the difficulties of carrying out such trials, convincing reports, based on sound research methodology, have been published. In addition, experimental investigations on the mechanism of acupuncture have been carried out. This research, while aimed chiefly at answering how acupuncture works, may also provide evidence in support of its effectiveness."

If you have never been to an acupuncturist, the idea of what to expect from your appointment may seem intimidating and mysterious.  In reality, the experience of seeing an acupuncturist is anything but intimidating, and if there is mystery, I hope the following brief videos will help clarify and dispel any misconceptions you might have.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding what to expect from your appointment with me.
